Debra Drummond, Former Marine speaks to club

The Livonia Rotary Club honored Veterans Day by having the above speaker at its club meeting held Monday, November 9, at noon. The speaker, Debra Drummond, is a former Marine. Her powerpoint presents information about women in Marines that our club did not know. She spoke of the last Honor Flight to be taken from Michigan (of the former vets so tht they can see washington D.C.). Her presentation included a history of Veterans Day, facts about the marines, interesting information regarding women in the military, and Michigan's military and space museum in Frankenmeuth, Michigan. Her time with us ended with a speach from Father Denis Edward O'Brien,USMC, whose words touched all of us. We must remember to thank those in the military as we go through each day.
