At the 67th Annual Installation Dinner of the Rotary Club of Livonia, Bob Moore was installed as the new Club President.

The 67th Annual Installation Banquet took place at Laurel Manor in Livonia on Monday, June 27th.   Past President and Master of Ceremonies, Art Cole welcomed club members and guests.  Conway Jeffries led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Laura Perlowski led us in the Invocation.  A wonderful dinner was served by the staff of Laurel Manor.  To resume the business part of the evening, America the Beautiful and O Canada were led by David Stechholz and John Elkins Introduced all of the guests that were present.    A Year In Review video was presented by Dave Cash, Paul Harris Fellowship awards were presented by Past District Governor jim Karolyi and Club Awards were presented to those Rotarians who provided exceptional service to our club and our community during the past year. 

Those awards include:

The Community Service Award given to Will Lindley

The Club Service Award  to Gary Deschenes

The Vocational Service Award to Janet Haas

The New Generations Award to Dale Coller

The International Service Award to Sue Cole

The Dan Waldecker Award to Barb Lewis.

 

The Past President Pin was awarded to Outgoing President Ron Gaffney and he shared thoughts about his year and expressed gratitude to all those who helped to make his year a success.  Assistant District Governor Dave Cash then administered the oath of office to incoming President Bob Moore and to Club Officers; President Elect Pat Moore, Secretary Bob Bennett and Treasurer Ian Smart.

To close the evening President Bob Moore shared his thoughts about the upcoming year as President of the Rotary Club of Livonia.
