The efforts of the Rotary Club of Livonia, Rotary Club of Livonia AM, City of Livonia Parks and Recreation Department and the Livonia Community to build an all-inclusive play structure in Rotary Park are taking shape.  On May 30th helpers from the community along with Rotarians and City Rec Department staff joined in a 1 Day Community Build, assembling the majority of the new play structure.

A history of the development of Rotary Park in Livonia. Presented by Deanna Gaffney on January 29, 2018

The Livonia Rotary Club was proud to participate in the Livonia Tree Lighting and the first in many years on Sunday, December 3rd., Christmas Parade in the Heart of Livonia.   In addition to over 2,000 participants in the Parade (60-plus local units of all sorts), the estimates given to Ted Davis and Mayor Dennis Wight were 5,000-10,000 people along the 1,1 mile Parade route, 80% within the closest blocks to the Civic Center.  The Parade began on time at 4 p.m., with a 3 p.m. staging at Frost Middle School.  The estimate may be closer to 8,000-9,000.  With great weather, the Parade was enthusiastically-received.  Everyone loves a parade.

Our club was proud to participate and will look forward to participating again next year!
Are you looking for ways to support the Livonia Rotary Charitable Foundation?

Did you know that you can designate the Livonia Rotary Charitable Foundation to receive a donation from Amazon every time you shop?

The next time you want to shop on Amazon, type Amazonsmile in your search bar instead and you will be taken to Amazonsmile.com where you will be given the opportunity to choose your favorite charity (Livonia Rotary Charitable Foundation) to receive 0.5% of your total purchase as a donation.  It is that easy to donate to our foundation.

On October 22nd members of our club joined members of other Livonia Service Clubs to help pack 25,372 Meals to help the needy in our community and in other areas of the country and world where the need is identified.

The District held the Governor’s golf outing at Fox Hills on Thursday, September 19th, with proceeds going to funding projects initiated by clubs in the district. Among those are projects in South America, Africa, Asia as well as home. Livonia Rotary was well represented with two foursomes plus 3 Rotarians for dinner.

Our golfers represented the club well, scoring under par. In addition, Dick McDowell won the chipping contest for the second year. Concerns about storms were unnecessary since they woke us up at 3:15 AM on Friday.
